Do The Math on Personalized Offers

I received an email today from Logos with at Personalized Offer. In the email it said that the product's regular price was 99.95 but with the coupon code I could get it for 72.68. I clicked on the product to learn more and the sale price is 69.12. I don't think I have any of the items so I don't think dynamic pricing is the reason. Does anyone have any input as to why I would get a personalized offer that is greater than the current price.

Good question. My guess is that it comes from two different sources within Logos. In the future hopefully they can get on the same page.

Michael, do you have academic discount? I do, and I often find that the personalised promotions sent to me seem to be savings off the regular price, and when I click on the item page, my academic discount is giving me a lower price than my "personalised" discounted price!

So what happens to the sale price when you add your coupon code from the personalized offer ?

David, (in case your question was addressed to me!), when I enter a coupon code, if the academic price is cheaper than the promotion, the shopping cart will keep the resource with the academic price. If the promotional code is cheaper than the academic discounted price, the shopping cart will show the promotional price. It's quite clever! [Y]

Your hunch about dynamic pricing is probably correct. If you can tell me the product, I will look into it and make sure everything is working correctly.
