How to erase Tags from Search

I reordered my library (too many tags) by deleting tags, but annoyingly, they still show up when I try to search using tags--why does Logos not recognize that those Tags no longer exist?

Please upload a screenshot as that will help us see what you are doing.

I can't reproduces this.
I just:
- assigned a new tag to a resource
- checked that it turned up as a search option
- removed the tag from the resource
- found that it no longer turned up as a search option
This was in 5.2a B1 where Logos have made some changes in tag management (though I don't know if this was affected).
What version are you running and on which OS?

Could you do a sort on Mytag and post a screenshot showing that these are empty?

It's Logos 5 (not sure which number but I'm set to automatic update so it's the latest) on Windows 7.

I keep one tag per book. Period. (with one exception 'not in Libronix'). Logos management of tags is abysmal. Collections you can't see in your library (I'm talking about the view; not the individual resource).
But absent the apparent bug, it illustrates that the library needs some work to allow easier organizing. There's been mucho threads on various approaches. I can find a book in Libronix far faster and its method is almost stupid.

Strange
I've just tried this again on my copy of 5.2 SR3 (the latest stable version) and I still can't reproduce it

Thanks. Next idea. How many devices do you have your application installed on? Did you sync to remove the tags from a second installation or are the tags being picked up from a second installation is where my reasoning is going.

I wonder. I used to have it installed on two other machines--now just on another one. I uninstalled the others over a year ago, but perhaps the syncing doesn't recognize that.

I've emailed Brad asking him to look in on this thread. I've never seen instructions on how to tell sync that a machine no longer exists. I can see it as a possible glitch in some circumstances and it would explain our inability to duplicate your problem

I'm cleaning up my Tags as there are just too many
What are the NT and OT Search shortcuts for (next to the Command box)? I wonder if deleting those will have an effect.
Does the problem exist on your other machine?

The shortcuts are morph searches--I think I wrote on here perhaps a year ago that morph searches were taking twenty minutes or so simply to populate to pull down choices (and I just double-checked and they seem to be populating immediately now).
I only have Logos on this computer now--when I got it a year back, I uninstalled from the two previous computers I was using.

Thanks, hopefully we'll hear something back.
