Add Text Comparison tool in the New Tab sidebar

Dear Logos, would you please consider the adding of the Text Comparison (TC) tool in the sidebar of the New Tab option (the PLUS tab) under TOOLS?

Now we must click on Tools, then on TC, which only opens a very narrow window on the right side. Then, we must either open it in a floating window or move it anywhere else to see a full window. But with that option (new tab), in one click it would be a full window.

Thanks for considering it!

    Hi Gilles

When you have the Tools window open, instead of clicking on Text Comparison, either:

    • drag it to a tab where it will open the same width as other panels in that tab or
    • right-click on it where you will get a pop-up menu with a number of options including opening in a full window

    Does this help?

Yeah, the 'drag' option is good. Thanks for the tip!

    The two fastest ways are:

    • F7.
    • Keep a shortcut on the shortcut bar.

To do the latter, start typing text comp in the Command bar. When the dropdown shows up, drag the Show Text Comparison command to the shortcut bar. You can then click to open it in the normal place, right-click to open in a floating window, or drag to open in a wider panel.
