But who was thinking about marketing strategies then? [;)]

...and that we know their names [:D]

It appears that they have a number of desirable offerings in this sale. It's unfortunate that I either have them or don't want them. Perhaps I'll need to return a few items so I can take advantage of the sale. [;)] Oh, wait, I got them still cheaper on pre-pub so that won't work. [:'(] We need to come up with some excuse for them to have another sale the following week. [:D]

Well, at least we know there were three, they were wise, certainly not magicians, and followed the star across Arabia.
Regarding the boxer rebellion, I picked up the Shadow book. Someone said that was good on early church background. I'll take a chance, since it's Libronix.

Out of interest which are the titles in the Boxing sale, which weren't in the Christmas sale, that users are interested in?

The Exegetical Summaries Series (24 vols.) is almost 50% off.

They do. That's why the sale is called "12 Days of Logos", not "of Christmas".

Fgh,
you are right. just shows how assumptions lead to misinterpretation. Makes me wonder how much of my congregation actually hear what I am saying, rather than what they think I am saying.

Bummer! I forgot to re-read the "Get UP TO 50%" -- When I saw the WBC and BECNT I was going to jump on both thinking they were 50% off, but when the coupon only gave me the regular 12Days discount, I heard the loud sound of someone bursting my bubble...[:(] Oh well, maybe someday Logos will have at least the WBC for $399.95 like they did on their 12Days back in 2009:
Word Biblical Commentary (WBC 59 Vols.)
Retail $1199.99
SALE: $399.95
Use coupon code: 12DAYS6
Learn more about Word Biblical Commentary (WBC 59 Vols.) or buy it now.Copied and pasted from this blog article: http://blog.logos.com/?s=WBC+399&submit=Search
Merry X-mas!

Someone I once knew wrote his doctoral thesis on that. He made a two part sermon on the sheep and the goats in Mt 25, and constructed it in such a way that he could start or finish with either part. Then he held it in several (at least I think it was several) churches with the sheep part first, and the same number of churches with the goats part first, and after each time the listeners were given some questions to answer. Turns out they heard two rather different sermons.
I think something similar is happening right now with popes Benedict and Francis. They're essentially saying the same, but most people are hearing two different messages. I've seen it described as one saying "there is forgiveness, but it is a sin", and the other "it is a sin, but there is forgiveness". People hear different things when you do that.
(And for what it's worth, I have a faint memory of posting the same thing you did when I was new here. I think I got the same answer.)

Actually, tradition assumes they were three, since three presents were brought, but that does not necessarily mean they were three wise men or that their names were Melchior, Gaspar and Balthasar.
But you are correct, though, they were not "magicians" LOL...in Spanish the word is "Mago" which to me it always meant someone who performed tricks, so as a little kid I always wanted to be a "Magician" to perform tricks for Jesus...LOL...then Simon el Mago came along (Simon the Sorcerer - notice same word "Mago" in Spanish) and I learned you couldn't go around performing tricks for Jesus...LOL...but every now and then I'll turn some sinner to a believer through the Power of God's Word [;)] which is better than magic tricks.

For less than 100 bucks more I can have the gold upgrade with more stuff, but I have to wait for my b-day on that one. Maybe I can buy the upgrade with my b-day certificate [:P]

They are putting together a sale on interlinears and Young's works for your 39th Birthday George!
