copy and paste scripture
When I copy and paste a scripture into a paper and use my NASB it will show up as NASB95. I like papers to show the translation I am using but would not like the 95 to show up. Is there a way to get the 95 off so it will not show up when I paste scripture? Since I have Office 10 I can still use my smart tag, which I understand you can't in Office 13. Thank you in advance for helping!

This is possible, but it requires changing the short name through the Logos Library module.
- Hit CTRL-L to open the library in a floating window (this will make things easier for this operation).
- Now type NASB in the find box. Among other things you should see the New American Standard Bible and the New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update.
- Click the (i) (information button - a circle with the letter "i" in it) is selected, if it hasn't been already. (This button is on the same line as the find box.)
- Click on any part of the New American Standard Bible description except the title column (Clicking the title column opens the resource. We don't want to do that right now.).
- In the information column on the right side of the Library pane is the full title (New American Standard Bible), and by default the short title NASB (this will be immediately after the main title.
- To the immediate right of the short title is a pencil.
- Click that and change the short title name to something like NASB77.
- Now repeat the steps to open the information panel for the New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update.
- Here change the short title from NASB95 to NASB. (Note: it's important to change this one second, as you don't want two NASB's in your Library!)
- The Library will update itself almost instantly, there should be no need to restart Logos for this change to take effect.
- From now on the Copy Bible Verse parameter that addresses the version short name, will use NASB77 for the older (77) version, and NASB for the 95 version.
I know this works, because I did the same thing with the NIV (changing NIV84 to NIV and NIV to NIV11, after the 2011 update).

Thanks Richard--I just now changed my NIV configuration around as well thanks to your help. There were little ways that the NIV11 was creeping into my results...and hopefully now the NIV84 will be the one that pops up (e.g. Text Comparison seemed to keep reverting to the NIV11).

This may also be because of how you set up the text comparison categories & collections originally (using short titles).
[NOTE: Please let's not have that tired old debate about the NIV84 vs. NIV11, updated language, etc.]

I feel like I've updated the TC list to be NIV84 multiple times, but it often seems to revert to "NIV". So if that happens again, I'll be prepared. [:)]

This may be because of how you have your collections set up (the TC is set to use collections too), in addition to the short title thing I already discussed. The TC can also use favorites, so check that list too.
I should have written my change this way: NIV to NIV11 and then NIV84 to NIV. You don't want two identical short titles in your library at the same time (I have no idea what Logos would do with that.)
