I installed windows 8.1 on my computer.  Slowed way down...thought it was windows.  Finally got task manager up...it's Logos in windows.  Uninstalled Logos 5 and now Windows 8.1 runs great.  Any similar issues?  When will this be fixed?

    Josh, I wish I could complain of the same. I have no problems with Logos & Windows 8.1 getting along together. Maybe Windows 8.2 will give me some grief!!!  :-}

    I have been using Windows 8/8.1 with LOGOS 5 for about 9 months with no problems - sorry.

    There are no known incompatibilities between Logos 5 and Windows 8.1.

    What are your system specs? Is it possible that Logos 5 was performing first-time indexing (which is CPU intensive)? Does pausing the Indexer help?

    Josh,

    I have to say Windows 8.1 works great with Logos for me.  It increased the speed of Logos on my laptop.

    Perhaps you issues could be hardware related?

    Hi Josh,

    When you say "it's Logos in windows", what do you mean?  e.g. consuming memory, consuming CPU, both, something else.

    Also, could you describe in a little more detail the scenario in which this occurred?  e.g. Win 8.1 completely installed and updated, then started Logos and it never came up ... or Logos was doing an update and never stopped ... or something else.

    It's not completely clear from the description what happened in this case and how uninstalling Logos helped.  We need a little more detail in order to help.

    Your description lacks very important information. What is the hardware configuration of your computer, at least what is the CPU, memory size, the hard disk size/type.

    Win8/8.1 and Logos 5 work very well for me.

    Do you have the .NET framework? L5 surely requires it and the installer package should help you. Maybe you can post more info so the forum can help you.
