Logos app crashes every time I highlight

I have a Kindle Fire with the Logos app.  Every time I attempt to highlight or add a note the app immediately crashes with this message:   "The application Bible (process com.logos.androidlogos) has stopped unexpectedly.  Please try again."

I then am forced to close the app and reopen.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times, run cache/memory/malware checkers, etc.  Nothing seems to work.  I love the app, but find reading nearly pointless if I can't highlight.  Any ideas?  I can't seem to find anyone else with this problem on the forums.

Further, the app won't pick up and even acknowledge Bible reading plans that I've set up on my macbook version of Logos.
