Hang - logos update icon pinwheeling

When I quit logos (or am in an open session), the logos icon on the top of the screen (which is not blue, but grey now), pinwheels when I hover over it. Please see attached log.

    You are experiencing a problem that is quite common to Mac's. Try restarting the computer. If necessary, try loading to a blank layout i.e. press and hold the command key immediately upon startup, then check the appropriate box. Then try loading a different layout.
