video annotations

Greetings All,

I apologize if this is already out there but I've not been able to find any reference.

I was hoping folks would share the tools they use to create videos as well as the annotation tools you use to do so.

I use both a MAC  using MAC 10 and PC using Win7.

    I know Jing and CamStudio have been mentioned in the past. I have CamStudio but I seldom use it.

    With a Mac you can record your screen with Quicktime and with iMovie you can do some annotations. Something specifically designed for making video tutorials is Screenflow. Camtasia Studio is another editing software. if you didn't want to pay there is always Jing. it's a free version but is somewhat limited. The people I know who have used Screenflow swear by it but I have really used anything besides Quicktime and iMovie myself.
