Footnotes not automatically inserted in new Pages 5.0.1

Yesterday I copied/pasted with ease into old pages program. Today I upgraded to Mavericks and now when pasting from Logos into Pages 5.0.1 there is no auto footnote. Can anyone help? Thanks.

In Pages 4, the format of documents was well-documented and it was possible for us to place text on the pasteboard containing footnotes. Pages 5 changed to a completely undocumented format and dropped support for importing text in the old format via the pasteboard.
Until Apple documents the new format or someone reverse engineers it, this feature will not be available.
See http://pagesfaq.blogspot.com/2013/11/undocumented-proprietary-file-format-in.html for a bit more detail.

Unfortunately, this is an Apple problem now, so Logos has no way of fixing it for the time being.
If you want to keep using Pages, you have two options:
1) Use the old Pages for now. It should still be in your Applications folder in a folder named "iWork 09." Apple chose not to delete the old iWork in this upgrade in this case.
2) Use a workaround I suggested here: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/76735/537248.aspx#537248
