Shortcut for verses in the same chapter
This is a suggestion that has been made quite a while ago. Perhaps now it would be easier to implement than back then.
The typical scenario is that one is writing extended notes on a section of Scripture. It is really handy that references are recognized and tagged as such. It is NOT handy to have to type the whole reference every time when within the same section. For instance I wrote something about John 6:1 and refer in the next sentence to verses 25 and 37. It is cumbersome to either write Jn 6:25 and later Jn 6:37 then go back erase the "Jn 6:" part manually and replace them with v. or 2) to type the right text and then use the chain box to type in the full reference so that it is tagged properly.
Can there be a shortcut, something like *25* (means verse number, same book, same chapter as previous reference) and **25** (means chapter number, same book). I love the fact that we don't have to type in the whole reference in the reference box when reading resources. If only something similar can be made for notes that would be great.
