I noticed that the countdown timer is going to expire at midnight UK time.

Surely it should be midnight Bellingham time?

Well right now it already into the New Year in New Zealand and Australia., so using GMT takes us well into the first day of 2014 in some places.

I didn't explain what I meant very well.

What I was trying to say was that the countdown timer was using my local time (GMT) but that I expected the offer to actually finish at midnight Bellingham time. Thus it was saying that the sale expired 8 hours before it did.

I just confirmed this by checking again this morning. Up till 8:00 GMT the offer still showed as available but with a time of 0:00. After 8:00 GMT it was no longer available.

I think it just means that the counter wasn't timezone aware and I guess everyone would see it count to midnight in their own timezone even though the sale might actually finish up to 23 hours later when Bellingham happened to hit midnight.

Yep.  It's confusing alright.  (Logosian timing). Here, sometimes the clock is Bellingham time, and sometimes it's not. At least in Indiana, they're never Bellingham time.

Ah! Yes, that is confusing and I'm sure not what Logos intended. At least the error works in most people's favor. But if you are west of Bellingham and east of the International Date Line you might think you still had time left while in fact the offer actually expired.

Don't tell me you chose to procrastinate until the last few minutes.

BriM was hoping Logos would markdown the last few remaining inventory left in the Bellingham warehouse. But he forgot IRS rules that the sale had to occur before Bellingham midnight.

Once I purchased a refrigerator from Montgomery Wards on January 2nd. After I got home I noticed they had backdated the sales slip to December 31st. Maybe Logos can extend their sale. [:)]
