Trying to access the Settings menu in 4.0.11 doesn't work
I get a blank screen for a few seconds and then go back to the home page
Is this also occurring on your HTC Desire running Android 2.3?
After it goes back to the home page could you switch over to catlog and send me the logs again? Unfortunately this is another issue that I'm having trouble reproducing. Works fine on my test 2.3 device, N4 and N7.
So far we've identified the following 2.3 issues thanks to your testing feedback.
Sign in dialog display dark text on a dark background on Android 2.3. I've been able to repro this issue.
App crashes occasionally after having opened a popup menu on Android 2.3 (on either the Home or reading panes). I can repro this intermittently. The underlying cause appears to have been a system bug fixed in Android 3.0+ but I'm looking for a suitable workaround for 2.3 devices.
App crashes when opening any resource - this one I have not been able to repro. The log data you provided gave me something to go off of, but doesn't narrow it down much unfortunately.
I'm also not able to reproduce your latest issue - Settings pane doesn't display. On a 2.3 test device it does seem to take an unusually long amount of time but eventually does display.
Hi Gabe
Yes it is - it is the only Android device I have
After it goes back to the home page could you switch over to catlog and send me the logs again?
Here you go - it gives me a blank screen for 2 - 3 seconds and then goes back to the home screen

That's good news
Is there anything else I can do to provide more information?
Hopefully the log info will help
Thanks, Graham
Graham,
The semi-good news is that I'm confident that this settings issue and the app crashing when you open resources are related. The text preview section on the settings page essentially shows a mini reading view. Unfortunately this issue seems somewhat device specific at the moment (in that I haven't been able to repro on any devices I have access to and haven't heard others having similar issues). I will be continuing to research this issue today.
Thanks for the update - appreciated
Graham
