Library Size

Is there any way to reduce the file size?
My library is 30GB, but I do not need all of those books. Is there a way to only download some?
I have a very small hard drive, so every GB matters.
Thanks!
Joel

Joel, you can "hide" the resources you don't need:

Hide books. Open Program settings and scroll to the bottom. Then click on the library button. Put books in "Hidden books" with Your mouse:

In Logos 5, hiding books can also be done by holding down CTRL (Windows) or Option (Mac) and right-clicking the resource in the Library. You can also easily hide multiple resources this way. See here: https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/hide-resources
EDIT: "Hiding" resources is actually removing them from your hard drive. See here: http://wiki.logos.com/Hiding_Books

The others have given you really the only answer... however... This is an "all or nothing" proposition. The preferences for "hidden books" (really it should be called "archived") syncs between any Logos installation and mobile. In other words, you can't hide the books on your laptop-with-too-small-hard-drive and still have the books around on your desktop or iPad.
Is getting a new HD an option? Tell us about your computer? Windows or Mac?

Joel,
Most Logos books are very small, so you need to hide hundreds (such as the Perseus Library, should you have it) to save a GB. Those that really count in size are media resources with lots of pictures and video.
If really every GB matters, you may want to think about re-indexing the library after you hid what you don't need, since this will purge the index entries related to the hidden books and result in a smaller index. But think first before you issue the command: There needs to be enough free space on your HD to do this, as the new index is built before the old one is thrown away (which you could force by deleting the index), but indexing itself will require some additional GB. Maybe you could backup the Logos installation before - you don't want to end up with no working index and not enough space to rebuild it. The other thing: machines with very small hard drives tend to have underpowered processors and not enough RAM, too, so reindexing might take long hours.

Disk storage is fairly cheap. I would recommend a new (second?) HD.
