Speed up the home page!

The home page dynamic content remains extremely slow to display. Anything that can be done about that?

Francis, are you suggesting the homepage on your PC is slower than a Google search from servers located literally light-years away in the fartherist galaxies known to mankind?
The reason is Logos is finding the perfect example, which takes longer. (Actually, a little known secret is they are hoping you won't use the homepage, since that's where they store excess adverts that won't fit in Bellingham).

Denise, I'm afraid that your reply may be too cunning or perhaps my coffee ineffective: I am not sure what you are actually saying. It's a joke, right?

Yes, Francis (too cunning; your coffee probably just right).
One would think (a) a home page refresh from a PC disk drive would be faster than a google search from distant servers and (b) if indeed Logos wants to use the homepage for moneymaking, they'd make it less frustratingly slow.
Actually the Logos.com forum topic listing has a faster refresh than the Logos5 homepage. Maybe the Logos internet guys could help the Logos molassas-ware guys.

I think it (slowness) is an "architecture" issue. if you think of it, it is a dynamic layout with 2-6 pages. Even with everything pre-fetched, it will still take a long time to populate the screen. Perhaps, LOGOS should check out how inDesign, or similar programs are able to display multi-page previews near instantly...
