Is there a search option that identifies just the main verb in the text (Acts)?
Hi Jane - and welcome to the forums
What do you mean by the "main verb"?
You can - using the morph search (http://wiki.logos.com/Morphological_Search) search for different moods which I guess is the sort of thing you are looking for
So if, for example, you did a search for the Imperative mood you would get the results below:
Does this help at all?

I'm referring to using "The Lexham Clausal Outlines of the Greek New Testament" where Depp notes in the left margin "main verb".
Thanks for your quick response.
Thanks for the clarification.
I don't believe the term is defined there but rather assumed.
The Lexham Discourse Greek New Testament: Glossary has "Using a main verb form, like an indicative or imperative verb" and I have always taken the "main verb" to be indicative, imperative or subjunctive.
This results in a search like:
You can then set up "Visual Filters" - http://wiki.logos.com/Visual_Filter - so that your Bible is automatically highlighted.
The visual filter below:
results in the highlighting below:
Those are some of the mechanics available - but there are many people on these forums with a much better knowledge of Greek than I have who will hopefully comment on the meaning of "main verb"
Thanks, I will try these out.
In "The Lexham Clausal Outlines of the Greek New Testament" I was hoping a search could be made for the "main verb" as highlighted below. So the search wouldn't be "in the text of the Scripture", but it would be his work on the text. I love this forum; don't often post; but I read it every day. You all are so prompt to help.
Well, I don't know how to "insert" the image I copied and pasted, and it didn't show up. Still, thanks all.
