Pop-up Windows slow to close sometimes

Every so often a pop-up window takes some time to close. Most often, it is the COMMAND-F [Find Feature] that is the culprit. I open it, run a search and try to close but the pop-up window stays open sometimes for as long as 7-10 seconds.

I'm running 5.2 SR-3 (5.2.0.0091).
