Logos 5 crashes almost every time I close it

Logos 5 crashes almost every time I close it. Generally it happens after the program has been open for a while, then when I go to close it, boom! No response. Force quit.

The logs attached contain a crash that happened shortly after I opened the program and then tried opening a saved layout.

Help, please.

First thing I notice is that you are out of date. The current release is 5.2 SR-3. You are running 5.1a SR-2 (four months out of date). You can try the command update now, or manually update via the link in my signature line.

Secondly, there is a known issue, which causes a similar issue when Macs are put to sleep with Logos running. I am unsure if the issue was present in your builds or not. Are you on a laptop? Do you close the lid with Logos running?

Yes, I have noticed that this happens when I shut the lid as well. I may have Logos open while I work, then shut the lid to go home and when I open back up at home the program is stuck.

It also happens when I just leave the computer alone for a while. Perhaps it is going to sleep and this is the same problem?

I'll update as you recommended, but is there a solution for this problem?

One of the reasons I'm so out of date, I might add, is because when I click the link at the top of the program that says an update is available, nothing happens, and sometimes it will even cause Logos to go unresponsive on me.

The problem occurs when the Mac is waking from sleep due to a bug in Mono, the framework underlying L5 Mac. There is a fix currently being tested in 5.2a Beta. When fully functional, it will be incorporated in the stable version. Right now, 5.2a Beta 1 Mac has a few show-stopper bugs, so I am not sure of the status of the fix.

Try killing Logos and restarting. Perhaps restart your mac for good measure.

Development reports that it is fixed in 5.2a, currently at beta 2. Can't check this as my Macs have had insomnia for several years now. Previously had a database that crashed when the Mac took a nap, so I developed the habit of forbidding sleep.
