Ribbon Refresh?

F5 refreshes my home screen on my Mac, but does not refresh the ribbon with my daily reading schedule. What's the secret to refreshing that without closing Logos and restarting? Thanks.

Have you restarted Logos? Your Mac?

I believe he was asking how to refresh the reading schedule "without closing Logos and restarting."
Roger, I'm not familiar with the Mac version, but on the Windows version, if you close the Home page (Alt+H on Windows; I think it's Shift+Command+H on the Mac) and then reopen it (same keystroke), I'm pretty sure it refreshes the daily reading ribbon.

It seems to me that this issue has come up from time to time... but it isn't really an issue I follow closely since I don't ever use the home page. I <think> the solution was a restart (whether the OP wanted that answer or not [:S]) Of course, I could be mistaken. It has been known to happen from time to time. [:O]

Let's start again. I just checked and I didn't need to do anything to "refresh the ribbon." * (I read several daily readings on my iPad, and when I returned to my desktop, it was up to date.) Some questions:
- What do you mean by refresh?
- What version of Logos 5 are you using?
- What OS are you running?
*EDIT: The clock just switched from 11:59 to Midnight, and the ribbon updated automatically again, with no prompting from me.

Your blessings know no bounds Justin.
Each morning I have to repent the un-christian thoughts I have about Logos as I have to quit and restart Logos in order to refresh the prayer list on my side bar. Doing that updates the reading lists as well.
This is how I find Logos this morning as I wake the computer....
I know that I should say my prayers prior to opening the computer. But so far they remain unanswered (in the way I want) and I still have to restart Logos.

It sounds like bug to me. So that would be a workaround, but not an ultimate solution. Logos needs to track down what is causing this problem for some people and not others.

I wasn't lobbying for anything Rosie. Just trying to explain Logos "life as it is." (on Mac at least).
Thanks Mike. I remembered the earlier threads, but didn't remember that it was you. I did remember that there was a time difference in there somewhere. [;)] Perhaps this is a "prayer list" issue. Is that what you were having troubles with Roger?
EDIT: If the issue is indeed the prayer list, the solution is to delete that feature from the ribbon altogether. Problem Solved! (For Rosie's edification. [:P])

Mike, yes that is the same for me when I look at my prayer/reading in the morning. "Today" is still "tomorrow"... and I thought tomorrow never comes!

alabama24, I'm usually sound asleep at midnight, but when I awaken at 5 am I have to restart logos to get mine to refresh from the prior day. But you are understanding now what I'm talking about.

Do not normally access the Home Page, but it did not refresh without restart the last time I went there.
Bama apparently ignores Ben Franklin's proverb about early to bed, early to rise…

For one last clarification: I don't have a prayer list, so there is no need for me to refresh. The reading plans DID automatically refresh. Is there anything else other than the prayer lists which aren't automatically refreshing? [If we tell Logos the ribbon isn't refreshing, and they perform the same test I did, they will come to the conclusion that there is nothing wrong... we need to clarify what isn't working properly.]
MIKE: Do you know if a case was ever created for this issue? If so, was it back in the L4 days, or has one been created for L5?
PC User: Can anyone verify whether or not the prayer lists get refreshed automatically?

I start a new job in a week and a half, so I will be going to bed earlier. [:O]

It is a "good thing," I think. [:)] It is an apprenticeship in a tech / customer service related field. I would prefer to take a pastorate, but we are waiting for the right one to come along.
