Personal Books

I do a lot of my work in outline form. When I import an outline sometimes it will double space when I have not or even not recognize the outline at all. I am using Word 2010.

Can you share two of your docx files (one working, one not) for comparison?
Screenshots, how those two loook different on your screen would be very helpful. (save as jpg or png and use the paperclip icon to attach to your post)
When you say "outline form" do you use the Word outline view to do so (best) or the pre-built Heading styles? Or do you just create some structure with formatting and tabs?

Nick, I tried to insert two files. The one about First Thessalonians inserted perfectly. The one about Romans did not. I did not use a Word template but just the outline function. I am not a Word guy but have used WordPerfect for twenty years. However WordPerfect will not work with personal books with the hyperlinks to passages working.

Do you mean a screen shot of Logos? If so, not sure how to do that. I will need some coaching.

As you can see the Romans personal book double spaced on its own and omitted the outline in one section. I seem to have this problem with most of my personal books. First Thessalonians was the exception rather than the norm.

Currently, personal books do not sync, and consequently, are unavailable on mobile devices. The next beta version is supposed to have the beginning stage of PB syncing. Once personal books sync, the mobile apps will have to be updated to allow for those to be downloaded.

I think we have several different issues here.

The PBs have no Logos TOC and behave somewhat weird overall: Since you don't use heading styles at all, technically you are not producing an outline, but "only" a long text consisting of several paragraphs, many of which are formatted to give one long auto-numbered (and indented on fake outline levels) list.
The "double spacing" and different look of Romans versus 1 Thess: you are using different paragraph formatting in Word (single spacing versus 1.15 lines plus 10pt per paragraph with Word instructed to not show it if subsequent paragraphs have identical formatting).
The Logos PB compiler kills the auto-numbering from your outline of Rm 1-8. This is due since you restart your numbered list mid-document and the Logos PB compiler seemingly can't cope with this. Re-Applying the numbered-list formatting will make it work (did so until C), but is not what you want.

I tested some things to arrive at this conclusion. Currently I'm not sure how one could trick Logos to accept this. Using not auto-numbers but hard, manually-typed numbers might do.

I think, the real solution to your problems would be using Heading styles (most easy applied in Word's outline view).

I will give it a try. I really like this feature but it is frustrating when I am not sure what the final outcome will be. Most likely as everyone else, the time that I have to try and get it straightened out is limited.
