Crash

When I attempt to open the ESV from the home page or do a word search, the program crashes and closes.

I'm not sure why this is happening.
Please confirm that you type ESV into the Command box whilst in the Home Page. What happens if you do it from a layout? Does it happen only for the ESV?
Give a detailed example of a word search that causes a crash and enclose logs as before.
As you are on Windows 8, have you considered the free upgrade to Logos 5?

I chose the free upgrade to Logos 5 and it resolved the problem. It is working perfectly now. Nonetheless, I was clicking the tab shortcut to the ESV and it made it crash. It was working fine just a few minutes prior to that and had been for years. It tried closing the program several times, but had the same result--it crashed. I also restarted the computer twice, but it still crashed after that.
It allowed me to do a NT word search on "mind," but when I tried clicking on the first entry, which was in the ESV, it crashed. It also allowed me to open the NASB and view it, but I did not try anything else.
Anyway, I have Windows 8.1. Sort of wish I knew why it started crashing, but it is working fine with the free upgrade.
Thank you for the quick response and blessings,

Minor point, but your logs indicate Windows 8, not 8.1?!
This is due to a very unfortunate decision by Microsoft. Unless a program is specifically marked as being compatible with Windows 8.1, the "GetVersion" function in Windows 8.1 will lie and report that it's Windows 8. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms724439.aspx.
Logos 4 is not "manifested" for Windows 8.1, so it can never report the true version of the OS it's running on, which complicates troubleshooting. I think this was an incredibly poor decision by Microsoft and--as a Windows 8.1 user--I now have to explain why the OS version is logged incorrectly when reporting bugs to other vendors. (All programs released before Windows 8.1, and many programs released after, are broken when it comes to OS version reporting.)
