    +1

I wish Logos had a price match option for their books. I know its not an easy thing to do because of all the costs and hard work that goes into putting books into Logos format. But Im just wondering if Olive Tree and Amazon Kindle can reduce the price of these books, can't Logos do it too?

Im asking as one who doesn't know and wants to be educated. =)

    God Bless.

The publisher, Zondervan (Harper-Collins), does not discount their Logos editions very much at all. I doubt they would allow Logos to match that price. Especially since a Kindle edition is an inferior product.

Have you noticed Amazon is not selling the hardcover for the Kindle price?

I must agree with, "Kindle edition is an inferior product" when comparing it with Logos books.

If a book can not benefit from extensive tagging Logos typically produces it as a Vyrso title. I have seen Vyrso match Kindle prices on many occasions.

Tremper Longman III writes quality content that does benefit from tagging.

Oh stop it! You know there's no price matching and there's been several threads with the same comment so why start another one on it? a Logos book, as stated in many other threads,  is a whole different animal due to the special tagging that is involved in producing one in Logos format.  If Logos started price matching, then they would quickly go out of business and then you and I would be left like those Pradis users that got played wrong by Zondervan.  In essence, we'd be left with a platform that will not be updated anymore and if there are any glitches you'd be responsible for figuring out how to fix those glitches.

So let's stop the "price matching" begging and let's let Logos earn their profit so they can have the money they need to continue to invest in making the product better for us users.  In all honesty, I used to ask the same question, but when I accepted the reality that there will not be price matching and also read all the things that Logos has to do (work wise) to keep the software and its content running - I started not feeling bothered at all for not getting a price match.  If you don't want to pay full price, call a sales rep, they might be able to give you a discount and if you don't like the discount, then get the book from Amazon or Kindle or the other less superior formats - I'm sure you won't be so happy with the quality either and the complaints won't stop there either...LOL...Now that I told you how I feel [A] I'm gonna continue working on the "Moody Handbook of Theology" and get it into a PB for my own use.  I had to get it elsewhere because I missed out on it, but I got a better deal now -- plus, I think Logos only offered the first edition -- I have the most recent one and will soon be added to my Logos library once the tagging is done (Boy, is tagging and all that stuff hard and time consuming - no wonder Logos doesn't "price match." LOL)

    Have a blessed wickend! [6] (I mean weekend) [;)]

Ps. Any complaints, please direct them to the complaint department (wherever that is LOL good luck finding it).

re The Moody Handbook:  Yes, it is the first edition. I wish it had been updated before they parted ways.

Yes, I'm enjoying this Revised and Expanded Edition so much, that is why I'm going through the trouble of converting it to a PB.  It takes time if you want it done right and fancy though.  Meanwhile, I have created a simple PB version of it just to read with Logos for now.  The fancy version is a work in progress.  Maybe I should send the file to Logos so they can do the work for me [;-)]
