Bug: random crashing with no apparent rhyme or reason

Description

The program is crashing at random moments daily. I have it open on a separate monitor, with chrome, word, windows explorer, and sometimes spotify as well. Most of the time I'm not even doing any activity in logos, I merely have it open and referencing it as I work in a word doc. Then it pops up a message that tells me logos has stopped working and windows is checking for a solution. Then it closes, I reopen it and it may go the rest of the day with no issues. It may happen again for no apparent reason. I can't do anything to reproduce it.

Ok I just actually looked at the crash report after doing this whole report. If I understand it correctly it's my system running out of memory and causing the program to shut down? Any ideas as to the cause of this with so little running? I have one idea. I have 'safe eyes' filter running on my computer. I've seen it consume all my ram when I didn't have a wireless connection because it is .... dumb... sometimes.... ???

Does that sound like a possible culprit? Whenever that happened before it didn't cause anything to suddenly close it just froze up the whole system until I got it to connect to a network. Then its sanity returned.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

My best guess is that somehow an enormous local preferences setting has been created, and trying to upload it to sync is causing Logos 5 to run out of memory.

The path to the relevant file is:
C:\Users\jtowry\AppData\Local\Logos4\Documents\h2c4eoaq.fai\UserPreferences2\PreferencesManager.db

You could try renaming it to see if that stops the crash.

Thank you for your time and assistance. I'm not really sure what all that means but I just tried changing the name of the file. We'll see what happens now.

So far so good. Just completed 7 hrs of use with no crash. Yesterday it crashed about 5 or 6 times in 5 hrs. Thanks

Thanks again for your help. Not long after this conversation I decided to do a system restore so I could have a clean fresh work computer. The same type of problem has come back. It doesn't seem to be quite as frequent as it had gotten the last time but it can be frustrating still. I wanted to log it and get your input before I started messing around with stuff I know nothing about. Here is the log file. Thanks,

I recommend that you contact Logos Tech Support as this appears to be a result of your System Restore.
