No results with search in Logos

Using latest beta- doing a search on evil I yielded zero in "my library" - this has to be a bug.
9000 resources not one word about "evil", tried Jesus, God etc. all resulted in ZERO.
The only results are showing under "my books, my documents."

Also notice their is supposedly indexing going on- but I do not show an icon or ribbon on home page- 2 different issues or related?
What makes you think indexing is going on, as there is no indicator of that on your screen?
If you have not yet done so, restart Logos (if not your computer) and let indexing finish. If indexing does not start (even after a computer restart), and your search results are the same, type rebuild library index in the command bar and let indexing complete.
After indexing finishes report back what has happened.

Richard, the screen shot clearly tells me in the yellow ribbon, results my not be complete due to indexing going on- but even going to "task manager" it shows no indexing happening. I have restarted Logos and my computer, but will power down while in Logos to see if I can hard start the system.
Regardless in the past while searching I have never had a 'zero" return in "my library" on a search.

same here. Maybe it has to do with the broken (not yet developed, but Logos tries) PB download, I'm trying rebuild index now.

Also it keeps telling me its indexing which it is not, same yellow bar in search screen saying indexing my limit results. My task manager shows no Logos indexing and Logos itself shows no indexing going on.
BUG BUG BUG BUG BUG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a similar problem

Wonder if Logos diagnostic log files show indexing issue(s) ?

No evil on your computer?[:)]
We need logs! Start with CTRL key held and upload your Logos Log Files folder (zipped).

Best guess without logs:
Your index became corrupted and needed to be rebuilt. (There are no hits (for any query) from the existing index because it is corrupt and can't be read.) Due to a race condition in the Indexer (which will be fixed in 5.2a), the Indexer crashed at startup and never got further than 0%.
Solution: Restart the Logos app until you notice that the Indexer starts running and keeps running. (Use Task Manager, or mouse over the icon in the notification area.)

Ok fell asleep - but here are the files, and also I now have a constant 6 mb download every time I start Logos as well.
I already ran 'rebuild index" with no resolution.
Also included this file from 1/15 which was labeled "logos index error"- hate looking in this folder always has surprises!

Any way to tell what this item is"Resource PBB:3e51604be30e478cb689f14aecdb27a7'"
seems to causing some issue
All kinds of errors showing during current indexing
Doing a first time index- see what happens- but already see errors with BECNT volumes and other resources.

This is due to the partially-implemented PBB Upload feature in 5.2a Beta 2; see discussion here: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/79993/560368.aspx#560368
It may be fixed when Beta 3 ships (but probably not).

The logs show you are in a race situation with indexing and downloading the PBB's i.e. indexing starts, then the Indexer acts on the download; which fails, and the Indexer stops. I recommend immediately setting Automatically Download Updates to NO and ignoring all downloads, but use the beta link to update to the next 5.2a Beta.
If it is currently indexing then let it continue, and upload logs only if there is a crash ("errors" with BECNT etc. won't cause a crash unless something is corrupt).

same here. Maybe it has to do with the broken (not yet developed, but Logos tries) PB download, I'm trying rebuild index now.
Update: My first indexing run stopped at some 38% - I think it was due to the (futile) attempt to download the PB.
I set Use Internet to No and had it index again last night while I was watching football. It was finished this morning and now the search results are okay again.
So, all that have the same problem: This seems to be the way to go (Dave has it figured out without going through, kudos to you!).
I wonder if the index stays okay should I enable internet again. And I see some room for improvement.
- Why downloading a resource to exactly the machine from which it was uploaded? This works different than with our usual resources where a download is only triggered if the resource on the server is newer than the one on the local machine. This should be the same for PBs.
- The indexer shouldn't stop to download a resource, but do this in parallel (maybe it does for Logos books)
- Going forward, I'd like the indexer to either be able to pick up where it left prior to finding a new resource, or to ask "New resource detected: continue indexing or abort indexing to load new resource?". Otherwise I see the issue that a full index never completes for some people.

This is a beta and a premature release of the feature!
NB.Mick said:The indexer shouldn't stop to download a resource, but do this in parallel (maybe it does for Logos books)
When informed, the Indexer goes into a download-only mode and quits the indexing. Doing it in parallel currently makes no sense as indexing will resume from the beginning.

You can have this choice with Automatically Download Updates = NO! Whilst seemingly inefficient, it is currently satisfying your desire to download automatically[:)].

Dave, I know :-) Actually I redacted my post above and took out a sentence along the lines that we were like children, clicking on a button "upload" with no further information whatsoever what this would do to our systems and our data.
My remark wasn't shifting blame on Logos shoulders, but simply a beta tester remark to let the developers know that this behaves differently and - if warranted - to check whethter this is by design or oversight.
Same with my other remarks, which were mainly ideas into which directions it might be possible to think for further improvements of indexer scalability and stability. And in an ideal future, making sure the indexer stays on track wouldn't need me to refrain from receiving my latest bought resources [:)]

Okay shut down the downloads option, indexed Logos again all is fine. Will not considered using PBB function again- to much hassle.
