Peace, David! My absolute first thought was of Psalm 103 ...... then I began rejoicing that the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is a Gracious God! *smile* Take a good long hard look at the "anger" bit, there ... in His Holy Word!

I rejoice too -- with Luther and many others -- I see our Lord Jesus Christ in the Old Testament Gospel of Grace ..
I try to say Psalm 103 every night; however, sometimes I fall asleep before I finish all my devotions ....
Philippians 4: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand..........

It's not Hebrew but Eph. 4:26 offers some worthy advice. "Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger".

Depends on what font it's in. If you write "anger" in a larger font it's longer.
Seriously, though, what comes to my mind is:
Ps 30:5 "For his anger lasts only a moment."
Jer 3:12 "... I will not be angry forever."
Mic 7:18 "... You do not stay angry forever..."
And yet there's also the one the skeptics have a hard time with:
Jer 17:4 "... you have kindled my anger, and it will burn forever."

The ESV in Nehemiah 9:17 reads: “17 They refused to obey fand were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them, but they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God ready to forgive, ggracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and did not forsake them. 1[1]”
Some of the textual notes here in this section fit into the discussion of this thread, methinks….
9:17 נִפְלְאֹתֶ֙יךָ֙—This Niphal (N) feminine plural participle of פָּלָא, “be difficult; be wondrous, miraculous,” is traditionally translated as “wonders,” but it could be rendered as “miracles.”
וַיִּתְּנוּ־רֹ֛אשׁ לָשׁ֥וּב לְעַבְדֻתָ֖ם בְּמִרְיָ֑ם—Literally, “and they placed a head to return to their slavery in their rebellion.” The reading בְּמִרְיָ֑ם, “in their rebellion,” in the Leningrad Codex is a suffixed form of the noun מְרִי. The translation above, “in Egypt,” follows the reading בְּמִצְרָיִם in a few Hebrew manuscripts, which is supported by ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ in the Greek translation 2 Esdras 19:17.6 The reading in most Hebrew manuscripts may be due to the accidental loss of the צ in בְּמִצְרָ֑יִם. Also supporting “in Egypt” is the fact that this part of Neh 9:17 appears to be drawing on the thought and wording of Num 14:4, which has מִצְרָֽיְמָה, “to Egypt.” See further the commentary.
וְאַתָּה֩ אֱל֨וֹהַּ סְלִיח֜וֹת—The two Hebrew lines about God begin, literally, “you are a God of forgivenesses/acts of forgiving.” The translation places “God” at the end of the description and renders the descriptors adjectivally. The noun אֱלוֹהַּ that denotes “God” here is common in Job but seldom occurs in the rest of the OT. The noun סְלִיחָה occurs elsewhere in the OT only in Ps 130:4 in the singular, “with you there is forgiveness,” and in the plural in Dan 9:9, לַֽאדֹנָ֣י אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ הָרַחֲמִ֖ים וְהַסְּלִח֑וֹת, “to the Lord our God belong acts of compassion and forgiveness.” Rather than being an abstract plural here and in Dan 9:9, the plural indicates that God keeps forgiving his repentant people over and over during history despite their repeated transgressions.
חַנּ֧וּן וְרַח֛וּם—These two adjectives, “gracious and compassionate,” recur in Neh 9:31, again describing God. In the reverse order they begin God’s own self-description in his revelation to Moses in Ex 34:6: רַח֖וּם וְחַנּ֑וּן אֶ֥רֶךְ אַפַּ֖יִם וְרַב־חֶ֥סֶד וֶאֱמֶֽת, “compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” (See also חַנּוּן in Ex 22:26 [ET 22:27]). The full wording in Ex 34:6 is repeated by the Levites here, except for אֱמֶת, “faithfulness,” which they apply to God in Neh 9:33. These words became a creedal confession of Yahweh, the God of Israel, and are repeated in full or in part in many OT passages, for example, Jonah 4:2.7
אֶֽרֶךְ־אַפַּ֥יִם—The dual noun אַפַּיִם,
literalistically, “(two) nostrils,” can refer to the face (as in Neh 8:6) or, as here, to anger. This word with the noun אֹרֶךְ in construct, “length of anger,” idiomatically means that characteristically God takes a long time to grow angry, so this construct phrase is customarily translated as “slow to anger.”וְרַב־וחֶ֖סֶד—The marginal Masoretic note יתיר ו, meaning “superfluous ו,” indicates that the unvocalized waw on וחֶ֖סֶד should be ignored and that the construct phrase should read וְרַב־חֶסֶד, “and abounding in steadfast love/faithfulness,” as in Ex 34:6; Num 14:18; Joel 2:13; Jonah 4:2; Pss 86:5, 15; 103:8. This is supported by πολυέλεος in 2 Esdras 19:17 and multae miserationis in the Vulgate.8
