I have had this happen occasionally; however, in the past week it has happened 80-90 percent of the time on start up. Help!

Welcome Allen
The logs are not helpful as detailed logging was not enabled. If it is associated with waking from sleep be aware there is a known problem and you should quit Logos before sleeping.
I should have been clearer. Let me try again.
1. I start with a fresh boot of my computer. MacOS 10.7.5. [I have not experienced a hang on awaking that you mentioned, though I have resumed with Logos running several times without incident.]
2. When launching Logos, it hangs without the initial sign in splash screen appearing. I force quit Logos, and reboot my computer. In the past, this would often resolve the hang and I could open Logos successfully. In the last week, I have only opened Logos successfully about 10% of the time, and in the last 2-3 days, not at all.
3. Attached is the latest log. Of course, this time the program opened cleanly.
Thanks, in advance, for any help you can provide!

Logos is calling the Indexer because it thinks a resource download is available and the Indexer is expecting something for Faithlife Study Bible Photos but concludes nothing needs to be done! Check that you have version 2012-10-18T20:10:10Z (under Support Info in its Information panel).
But try deleting the folder /Users/akaaschoo/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/bgitruxs.la2/UpdateManager as it may be connected with the hang.
Dave,
I've deleted the folder you suggest, and it has loaded now (once).
My version of FSB (but NOT FSB photos) is 2013-11-15T22:26:50Z. FSB photos does not appear in my library when I search for it.
FSB references images, maps, etc. in resources like Bible Facts (Places), FSB Videos, FSB Infographics and FSB Photos, so it would seem that you should have these resources. Use title:faithlife in Library -> which ones do you not have? You could try the command update resources or talk with Customer Support.
However, is Logos continuing to load?
When Logos opened successfully after deleting the aforementioned file, it also triggered an update. That update downloaded and installed successfully, and the automatic reboot of the program also occurred successfully (i.e., did not hang). I have not had the opportunity to reopen Logos again. I will do so now and let you know how it worked. FYI, I was able to launch Logos successfully again.
When I looked for FSB before, I found Faithlife Study Bible, Faithlife Study Bible Videos, and Faithlife Study Bible Infographics. When I searched my library just now, I also found Faithlife Study Bible Photos. Does this mean I have all of the resources in FSB?
Thanks for your help with this! I hope we've got it taken care of; but I'll be back in touch if / when it hangs again. [:)]

Yes.
I'll be back in touch if / when it hangs again.
Always have the "no hang" option in your mind --> faith life[:D]
Well, it did it again, after a clean reboot of my system. Log attached.

But it's supposed to be 6 resources. What are the remaining 2?
(I'm sure I have them, but I've been trying to tag all my free resources, and I've forgotten what they are. This seemed like a good opportunity to ask.)

Logos.log shows a few time gaps but a normal shutdown!? The indexer log was empty when there should have been details starting about 16:07:50. Please ensure logging is enabled, restart Logos and note the computer time when hangs occur. Report those times with the logs.
It hanged again at 10:12 or so my time. Log file attached.1588.LogosLogs.akaaschoo.20140204-101007.zip
It hanged again at 10:12 or so my time.
There are no (Logos) logs for that time - so you may have forgotten to enable logging for that session. The Mac Console log only goes to 10:10 am, so be sure to specify the computer time of the hang.
It hanged again (twice) but the log for the latest hang is attached. Computer time of hang was approximately 10.55a.3108.LogosLogs.akaaschoo.20140213-105858.zip
It hanged again (twice) but the log for the latest hang is attached.
The latest Logos.log starts at 11:17:39 am on Feb 12 whilst there is a blank Indexer.log for 10:52 am on 13 Feb. Unless you enable logging at Step 2 and then Sample at Step 3 we won't have the information we need.
Logos hanged up again (as of 8:41.08). I've attached the log file, that I believe I collected correctly according to the instructions.5153.LogosLogs.akaaschoo.20140308-084108.zip
I also had the same problem. After restarting my Mac today, Logos will start, hang, and then close. I don't know how to post my logs to see what to do. I downloaded the engine again to see if that is the problem. That didn't work. Please help.
I don't know how to post my logs to see what to do.
Logos Support has a Logos Logging Utility => https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/mac/problem
Keep Smiling [:)]
Thanks for the tool. I used it, uploaded the logs along with a new crash report.
David,
it hanged again at 8.07a. Logs attached.2703.LogosLogs.akaaschoo.20140311-080756.zip
it hanged again at 8.07a. Logs attached.
I'm afraid there is again no information. I think you should contact Logos Tech Support who can provide "hands on" assistance.
As you didn't upload the logs in your post, Jim, have you heard from Logos Tech Support?
