Hi,

Is there any way to get the Android app to open a favorite Bible and a favorite commentary by default when I search for or point to a particular bible verse please?

Imagine being in church, silencing your phone, turning on the Logos app in Android, and then finding the verse your Pastor is preaching on and following along with your own favorite commentary automatically poised and linked below.

My guess is this is possible but its still not quick and easy right now for me, sorry.

Blessings,

Joshua

    Hi Joshua

    It is nearly possible.

you can set the reader view up so that you have your preferred Bible at the top and a commentary beneath.

you can link the panels - press and hold on the small, grey semi-circle between the panels and turn "link panels" on.

    and you are nearly set.

if you are using a single volume commentary that spans the entire Bible then this will work.

what isn't currently supported is the commentary moving to the correct volume in the commentary series as it does on Logos 5

I just purchased a Nexus 7 and downloaded the Logos software from the Google Play store.  But I am having difficulty changing the commentary that shows up in the linked panel.  I followed the online instructions by opening the linked panel and then tapping the resource title (in this case the summarized Bible that is set up to open there by default.)  But when I tap the resource title, instead of opening up my resource panel for me to choose a different resource, all it does is show a search field and is looking for a reference.  When I try to input the name of my preferred resource (in this case the Bible Knowledge Commentary) it says that it doesn't recognize the reference.  What am I doing wrong?

I would love that for the same purpose as JoshInRI .

I guess that it would have a more limited use for a full time minister  8-)

When you tap the middle of the resource the title bar should alternate between two modes.

If you ensure that it is in the mode where you see the resource title at the left and the bible reference at the right, tapping the resource title should take you directly to the library. If you have both the resource title AND the reference at the left, one above the other, (and a menu at the right) it does not seem to work. Does this make sense?
