how to search this?

Suppose I already know the answer.. but I want to find books that can give more on the topics..

How do I find them? (my search results came too many Zip it! )

    You have to take some part of this question and not expect the words to be in the same order  e.g.  Israel claiming "Promised Land", which searches for Israel AND claiming AND "Promised Land" in any order. Tick Match all word forms (in Basic Search) because 'claiming' may not be the form used. But claiming NEAR "Promised Land" was more successful (I got 79 results) as it is implicit that Israel is the only party involved! "never succeeded" is not a good search term but failed NEAR "Promised Land" got 114 results - probably the most meaningful ones.

    Note that there is a topic for Promised Land (no quotes) if you have Topic Guide or use Basic Search on the Entire Library. You also get alternatives to search for.
