Why is it this resource is NOT fully available in Logos? While Logos does have the HCSB, it does NOT have the reverse interlinear (which others DO have) and the HCSB Study Bible is also NOT available! There is a vast resource pool in Logos but not having these in the stable is a glaring deficiency IMHO.
Can anyone shed any light. I did a forum search and found very little NEW information.
Mind you, I am NOT complaining but I cannot be the only one in this vast Logos family that would appreciate having these resources especially since other Bible study software providers do have them.

Maybe - just speculatiing here - this could be connected to the aspect that the publisher of HCSB is "a division of Lifeway", which produces a competitor software to Logos.

NB, that's probably one of the primary reasons, as it likely offers a bit of a competitive advantage for their software. But, even having worked for WORDsearch/LifeWay, I can't say for sure why Logos doesn't have these resources.

I, too, am guessing. But it seems to me that LOGOS is producing fewer Study Bibles than in the past. I know some users complained about the limited value of Study Bibles compared to other types of resources. As a book reviewer, I have seen many useful Study Bibles cross my path - some of which would be better used as e-books than as paper books.

WordSearch does have contracts for exclusivity. The Complete Biblical Library is one such example. It is smart business, if they can swing it.

Yeah, I'm well aware of some of the exclusive deals. I played a big role in putting the CBL together for WS when they got the contract for it (particularly the Bible portion).
Not sure how exclusive the HCSB Study Bible is, given that Olive Tree & Accordance both have it. And, I'm pretty sure there's an exclusive on the reverse interlinear HCSB (another project of mine from my WS days).

There are a couple of other important Bibles that don't have reverse interlinears either (the NET, e.g.).
What I encourage you to do is contact the publisher of the HCSB and ask them to work with Logos on this. Explain your reasons and why you believe it would be to the advantage of the HCSB publishers & copyright holders to do so.
Also contact Logos (contact info available via the main Logos web site) and request the same.
Then start a campaign, getting other Logos users, for whom the HCSB is their primary Bible, asking them to also write to both companies. Providing the contact info makes their participation easier.

Richard, I appreciate your recommendation and although there are certainly other Bible resources that could use attention I focused on the HCSB since it was one I have used extensively in the past but have now moved more to the ESV in order to have the reverse interlinear resources.
I will contemplate on your suggestion in an effort to come up with a plan. Thanks again.

FYI, I have sent an email to the people at Lifeway regarding this issue. Will post if and when there is a reply. I informed them that they might be missing out on people that would increase their base and possibly their profits. We will see what transpires.
