Resources available/not available on mobile?

On the FAQ page on this forum it says:

"Q: What features are currently supported?

Access to your Logos library*

.....*Not all resources are available on mobile devices due to license restrictions from the publishers"

Is there a list somewhere of precisely which resources are not available due to this restriction? - knowing could save me a lot a time searching in vain; my laptop version says I have 525 resources available, my smartphone version has 226, that's quite a difference!

I don't know of a comprehensive list online, but You can either look at each product page, or You can click the library button in Your laptop and view the details of a resource to see on which mobile devices it's installed.

Check Your smartphone memory settings - sometimes You have to increase the amount of maximum memory that is going to be used, from the default 75%. You can also download resources one at a time to Your smartphone:

welcome to the forums. One answer is that some resources are not mobile enabled.

If it doesn't say "and mobile" it wont be available on your mobile device.

There isn't a published list - and it keeps being reduced as Logos continue discussions with publishers

I agree this is a significant difference and I wonder if it is due to some issue. Can you give some examples of resources which you can see on your laptop and not on your mobile device?

PS: Just a comment on what Unix says above. His advice really relates to resources which you have downloaded to your mobile device which is a separate issue to whether it is accessible on the Android platform. You can view resources online without downloading them. I don't actually understand the comment he is making about memory settings and didn't want this to sidetrack from the issues you are raising.

Pauline, I checked your account. The difference appears to be the SIL journals Notes on Anthropology, Notes on Linguistics, and Notes on Scripture in Use, which are not licensed for use on mobile.

The resource licensing restrictions for mobile devices are defined by the book publishers, not by Logos - we are obliged to follow those restrictions.

I took my tablet to church this morning and attempted to open my bible to Matthew 5. The default translation was Lexham. There were no other bibles or commentaries. Are these only accessible while connected to Wi-Fi? Is there any way to download a couple more for use offline?

Hi Nick, yes! ...it is possible to download every resource you already own except for some (those restricted by the publisher for "mobile" use)

--> simply (1) open the Library on your Android Device, (2) touch the info sign on the right, and than (3) on the green download button (if it's grey you get an Info that you doesn't own the resource)

Should work...

Note, that some nice features only work ONLINE (Passage Guide, Bible Word Study, etc.). However, searching a word, and showing the Biblereferences is possible OFFLINE.
