Justinian on Community Pricing: Need more $25 bids !!

Lets see if we can get this down from $60 to $25.........
It looks possible if we can get those who have NOT yet placed a bid to stop focussing on the high $60 price point....

Every $ 60 bid is also a bid for lower amounts. Noticed $ 50 bids is nearing enough to cover 100 % of projected resource cost.

if you bid $60 you increase the chance of every price point below $60 of being a possibility and will get the resource at the lowest price that covers production costs. Bid at only $25 and you will miss out unless it numbers reach critical mass for that price. If everyone who has bid $25 only actually bid $60 the final price would end up being a lot less than what it will be if they keep there bids at $25 - and the will pay a lot more than $60 if they want to purchase it in the future.

$60 is absurd. I'll stick with my $25 bid and happily spend it elsewhere. I wouldn't spend $60 for a 1000 books on Justinian...what a ridiculous price point. [8-)]

My point exactly: there are probably enough people out there who think $60 and even $50 is absurd and have so far not placed a bid at all.
If that assumption is correct and enough of those who have not yet bid climb in at $25, it will indeed close for $25 or less.....

the point is that if everyone moved there bid to $60 you wouldn't actually pay $60 but much less - this is already being seen with the current price now $50, bid higher and the price will drop. Bid low and it has now room to move.

I'm not sure who thinks this is worth $50 let alone $60. Maybe someone could enlighten us. I bid $25 but I'm not holding my breath.

In truth, there are many dozens of better ways $25 could be spent with Logos, but $60??? I can't even imagine the motivation behind that...

Must be some motivation or it wouldn't be over. Perhaps some value history more than you.

But it is still $50. I still can't understand how it went over at $60.

Well, it seems there are people who are willing to pay $60 for it - I stick with $25. If it doesn't go down there, I won't have regrets on Friday.
Have joy in the Lord!

It's just a "whisker" away and likely to get lower! *smile*
