No - the PBB compiler requires a .docx input file

Edit: Changed to read "PBB compiler" as opposed to "PDF compiler"

That would be much better[:$]
I've edited my original note to correct this.

Shouldn't it be:
The PBB (Personal Book Builder)
or
The PB Compiler (Personal Book Compiler)?
Personal Book Builder Compiler seems a bit verbose! [:D]

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this haha.
I try to make sure I always type "PB" when speaking of a resource and PBB when speaking of the resource compiler... PB compiler is ok too...
But Personal Book Builder Compiler seems not quite right.
To each their own I suppose.L2 lvl4 (...) WORDsearch, all the way through L10,

I usually use Microsoft Word to convert the file to .docx. Depending on how the pictures were embedded in the PDF you may have more work to do. As I recall one needs to save the image from the docx to the computer, then open in an image editor, and save as a .bmp then re-embed into the .docx.
For the Hebrew and Greek - you might need to change the font. I do not remember the name of the font needed, but I'm sure some searching would turn up the answer.

I don't think saving as bmp is a requirement - the PB compiler takes jpg (and I think png as well) easily, it's more the way of embedding. Insert picture from file into its own paragraph is fine (and if the Word-produced ex-PDF-now-DOCX has them in this way: same), whereas picture in a table or various text flow options you have in Word won't work with the PB.
Have joy in the Lord!

Maybe we all should request the LOGOS Tech team to make the system capable of working with PDF directly?

It has been requested: http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-5/suggestions/1096505-pdf-docx-files
We do not plan to implement PDF import at this time. (It would be a significantly complex and expensive undertaking.) Instead, we recommend using a PDF to Word converter, of which there are many available. Reviews and recommendations of these products have been posted on the forums several times, e.g., http://community.logos.com/forums/t/46204.aspx http://community.logos.com/forums/t/76761.aspx

For about $20 per year, Adobe themselves will convert your PDF files into Word documents for you. I think it is the best conversion option there is. Who knows more a PDF than Adobe? There is no limit on how many files you can convert. It works pretty well, though not perfectly. It takes a little editing, but it is by far the best I have found, and I tried a lot of them, including Word 2013, which I own and use. Adobe is better and worth the $20. Especially on a large and complicated file, like the Personal Book I am now working on.
Since I now use a Windows tablet as my Logos computer, making my personal books portable, they have become more important to me. I am willing to work a little more on them.

Sorry to resurect a dead thread, but I think it should be pointed out that ms Word can now open PDF's (though there are limitations re old macs, and pdfs of scanned images).
There are a number of macros on the web for opening a folder full of files, and converting them from one file type to another. Should be simple to adapt them for PDF's should one so desire.L2 lvl4 (...) WORDsearch, all the way through L10,
