OT in NT

Can anyone give me their best practices for analyzing the OT verses in the NT? How do I see them side by side. e.g., MT, LXX, NT Greek.
Thanks

fredc gives a good commentary to use, but to actually look at the text, I'd set up a target window that is linked to a text compare window. I attached a screen shot. On the right I have the NT I'm reading, and the commentary will follow that text. Then on the left is the target window (see the bull's eye on it), and any cross-references I click will go to that screen. I set it to link to a Text Compare window (Link
. I put in my default versions, but obviously you can change it to what you want.

Logos has not automated this particular function. However, one can make a PB as a harmony that would do this. See the wiki for instructions or http://community.logos.com/forums/t/77570.aspx for an example. There is a faithlife group that shares lists of proposed quotations/allusions.

The idea would be really interesting .... sort of a reverse CitedBy tool. With the wide range (and growing) of texts, it'd be handy.
Although the harmony idea might work (and many would love), the number of lookup-able texts is quite extensive ... MT, LXX, Gottengen, DS-Biblical, Peshitta, Targums, EarlyFathers usage, and of course the critical volume on Philo.
Plus I'm SURE Logos will eventually add in the Samaritan and ESPECIALLY the pre-Jerome latin texts.
Lewis, in my main layout, one of the pages is fairly complete-ish look at the OT sources. I just type in the NT ref'd verse and see the variation in the OT.

Peace to you, Lewis! And a big Welcome! in case you have not yet been welcomed to the Logos Community Forums....
You MAY have some works in your library (depending upon your Logos base package!) that can be aids in this matter ....
In your library "find" window, type in "type:harmony"
and you MAY find some resources that are helpful such as the following screen shot will show ..
Philippians 4: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand..........

There is ALSO a FaithLife Groups Site dealing with this issue with over 100 members ... AND some really nifty Logos 5 File Documents that enrich my life every day!
