I know this is a very subjective question but can you all tell me how well Logos 5 runs on a Macbook Air

I"m thinking of a 13" Air with 4 gig memory and 128 SSD harddrive  dual core I5 core processor.

If this isn't enough power please give me input on what I should buy.

I have also considered a IMAC  quad core I5 with 1TB harddrive (more than I would use in a thousand years) and 8 gig memory.

Having used Logos 4 on an older (2012 model) MacBook air I thought it ran very nice the SSD made all the difference in the world. One thing I would say is increase the Memory to 8GB, the memory i s fixed and Logos will do much better with the additional ram.

That is very small. I installed a 250 GB SSD in my MacBook, and wish I had waited a bit longer to afford a larger one.

Hi Ed - I have an i7 - 8gig with 250 SSD - This 'runs' Logos just fine...

But working with Logos requires screen real estate so don't throw the desktop monitor out use it as an extension to your mac book and you will love the experience.

I have a similar set up to Mike, save that I went for the 512GB SSD.  I'm very pleased with the way it runs Logos.

I agree with Mike reL the second monitor.  I recently took home an old monitor lying around in work and set it up as a second screen on my MBA (after buying a cheap Thunderbolt > VGA adapter on Amazon) and it works great.  It's awesome being able to have, for example, Word open on my MBA screen and Logos expanded to fill the 21" monitor at the same time.

my last computer upgrade was from a 17" macbook pro to a maxed out current generation macbook air.... Logos runs just fine on the air.. and you can pry the air from my cold dead hands. :-)

    Best laptop I've ever owned.

I run Logos on a 2011 MB Air, 4Gb and 128. Runs great, no complaints. A 2013/14 model will be even better, but I would bump the RAM to 8 if you can.

I've had my MBA for some time now. It runs Logos really well! It just works!

Get one! You won't regret it!
