I don't seem to see any way I can export a list as a file to a fiend with Logos for him to import it directly into his Logos program..

    Rick,

In the upper left corner of the list you should see an upside down triangle. Click it and you will see Print/Export.

    I hope this helps.

Ya, that doesn't do what I suggested. I can print it, create a Word Doc (lousy format) a XPS, clip board etc. Actually I think all the export formats have to be cleaned up before useable.

Says nothing about importing someone else's file.

I'd like to be able to email the "List" file to my friend so he can directly import it into his program like a can with a Word *.docx file.

I am not a Faithlife expert, as I seldom use anything there, but take a look at Documents.Logos.com

Does that contain what you are looking for? You may need to learn how to limit the sharing with your friend. Believe you will need to create a group with the two of you as members. The Word List drop down in this screenshot has many other options.

Or https://documents.logos.com/ are the ways to make a document file available to other users for importing into their app.

OK thanks for thee reply's and help. I thought there must be a way. However I still don't understand why simple file saving and import via email isn't available.  Going through this system I find arduous. Thanks anyhow.

What part did you find arduous? Simply setting permissions should be easier than attaching the file to an email. Sounds like you may have taken some unnecessary steps.

Both parties have to want to be part of (what is it Faith Life), and create groups and a whole different process. The business world is already used to hitting "save as" to your desktop. Then attach to an email. We do it so often it's automatic.

I for one would rather avoid as many 3rd parties as possible.

I haven't been answered the question yet. Can the recipient import the list into his/her document group? I can't see any reference to that possibility. ???

    Thanks anyhow.

    Yes they can.

When I was in the academic administration business, I was used to adjusting privileges within a internal network. I use email attachments only externally ... and the need often to zip etc I considered an unnecessary hassle. I guess it is just what you are used to.

But doesn't email add another party? Faithlife keeps it within the Logos realm working with your automatic backup and syncing process.
