How do I change the command, so that the . , and ; are excluded in the results?
Any help is much appreciated.

Not really. I cannot see which command I have to enter.
What do you mean exactly by 'excluded in the results'?

OK, I was not clear here :-(
I meant that Mt 1.18 should be excluded, because between the words I search for is a ",".
If you want to specify that the two terms must occur in the same sentence or clause, then you will have to use a syntax search. Something like this:
Thank you Mark. I have made this syntax search, but get zero results.
I have a Mac, perhaps this kind of search is not working properly yet.
Replicate the dotted lines in Mark's screenshot by right clicking the box and selecting "matching skips levels".
Whow Dave, that's it! Works fine here now.
Thank you very much.
