In my hardcopy bible, there are cross-references to the side of the page. I don't know find them on my Logos software?
I am using the ESV Bible and the ESV study bible. Can anyone help me?

Hi Janice
The cross references are right in the text just hover over the little superscript letters...
Just make sure that you do not have this ticked...
I often like to follow-up on a question that I think I already know the answer (with the assumption that I don't).
There's several interesting notes:
- If you set a book/resource setting (upper-left box with the book cover picture) to Columns = something, in ESV, the notes appear at the bottom, but not the cross-references (which remain as microscopic letters in a non-descript blue-ish black). I assume that's to match the printed version. But one does have to squint to see which are numbers and which are letters.
- If you open 'Power Lookup' tool, at least as far as I've noticed, it doesn't automatically 'follow' what you're reading. You have to remember to go to the settings and set 'Follow' or similar. But interestingly, it barely gets past two ESV references before it's filled up half of the PC window. Truly powerful for the first two references! Else you're better off in your hover-craft with the tiny letters.
- If instead, you choose the 'Explorer' tool, it WILL automatically be in the 'follow' function. And indeed it shows a ton of cross-references. Just none from the Bible you're actually reading.
I don't really have any 'better solution' other than to note that with my touch-screen, I don't dare try to nail the itty-bitty letters.
And so the functionality is moot (but not mute).
Thank you! Both of you answers helped me! I have a few screens up and I'm having fun! Thank you very much!
the cross-references (which remain as microscopic letters in a non-descript blue-ish black)
I have just had a look at my screens on one (with the font size set as in the screen shot...
the 'R' of the Show interlinear Pane is about 4mm high and the 'm' next to the speaker in the text about 1.5mm high.
On the other... the R is about 3mm high and the 'm' about 1mm high.
Still measuring with a ruler I check a MacBook Air the 'R' and the 'm' are a fraction smaller but still with easily read and easy to target with a trackpad. I see no need to squint – as you can see there is plenty of scope for increasing the font size if needed.
Power Lookup for me defaults to 'Follow' and shows the first 13 references in its right hand column. Floating the panel will give me about 22 references. On the MacBook I get the first 5 references.
The Explorer too will provide its references from your top preferred bible.
If you want to have more space for references why not plug an external monitor into you touch screen?
All the externals apart from one in this house are cast of monitors from expired Windows machines - they work well in this capacity.
I tried out using our 2-story TV projector, and the Power Lookup panel does indeed appear to be able to fully handle many of the NT cross-referernces.
I suppose scrolling your screen-copy would work ... your monitor must be a monster!
I can't tell if your humor is putting mine to shame, but my cross-references will easily fit onto the tongue of ;b
The Power Lookup defaults now to Follow so that's good. The key is to use it first, before re-using it.
You might also try linking The (New) Treasury of Scripture Knowledge. This is one of my favorite resources to use in layouts on desktop and mobile, linked to a bible text.
I guess the point I was trying to make Denise is that the hue and size of the superscript cross reference letters will depend very much on the equipment used to view them and the accuracy of the pointing device.
I have a 27in iMac with a Philips widescreen (about two A4 sheets) hooked onto it as a second monitor. My wife (with lesser aspirations) gets good service from her lap top with an old 24in monitor hooked to it.
However even with the screen on the iPad the cross-references are easily hit with a finger.
