bug/mac os x?: changing layout in fullscreen mode

when I change the actual layout (in mac fullscreen mode) to a predefined one the program runs fullscreen, but the layout does not cover fullscreen (see picture) [macbook pro, 13", 2011, 2.3 Ghz, i5]
