Citations in Pages

I am wondering if anyone is familiar with how to do automatic citations in the Pages program for Apple. When I was using logos with Word, whenever I copied from Lagos to Word, it would automatically placed a citation in the footnotes. Can this be done with Pages for apple? Thanks in advance for the response.

I believe that the new version of pages killed this ability... If you have the older version, it should still work.

Hi Orpheus:

Installing the new version of Pages does not delete or remove the older version. It should still be in your Applications folder listed under iWork 09 unless you removed it.

I'd just like to add that there is a way to get citations in the new Pages, it's just that they won't be automatically placed into an endnote or footnote.

The secret is to paste as plain text using an app like Launchbar or Plain Clip. What happens is that you get the citation at the end of your quote, like so:
