Kindle Fire - Highlighting

I received my Kindle Fire HDX today.  I installed the Logos Bible App from the Amazon Store.  When I try to highlight, the app shuts down.

I have gone through the tutorials on the Logos website.  Are there any other tutorials to go through. 

The Kindle does not seem to be syncing with my desktop application.  Are there settings I need to make?  If so, where are they?

I'm just a baby newbie on the Kindle.  Thankfully, I'm past that stage on my desktop.  :-)
