Installing Logos 3 on a new laptop with Windows 8

Hi,

I have Libronix BST New Testament with Logos 3 which I would like to install on a new laptop with Windows 8.1. I have been many weeks trying to do this without success and seem unable to contact Logos by email or chatline. Do I need to install Logos 4 or 5. I don't really want loads of more books and an expensive download. Is a free download possible and how would I do it.

Hi Norman - and welcome to the forums

Some people have got Libronix (Logos 3) working on Windows 8.1 but I understand that there are some issues with it.

I would suggest you install Logos 5 - you can download the free engine at https://www.logos.com/installation

Please let us know if you run into any problems.

I am one of those individuals who have L3 installed on windows 8.1 computer. I did it with a clean install using the installer from the website: https://www.logos.com/support/windows/L3/download, and I have not had any issues with it. Then again, I simply use it for notes, and then I import my notes into L5.

As Graham said, there is a free download for L5 (and this is what I use because I did not [as still do not] want or need the new resources that L5 has).
