Milestones and Datatype links

Have the rules for Datatypes changed?

In a personal book of hymns I previously successfully used the milestone "126 [[@Headword:126]]"

And elsewhere the link "[[126 >> Headword:126]]"

But using numbers only no longer seems to work and link is dead.

If I change the format to include an alphabet character then all works ok. In the above example adding an "h" to the digit "126"

"126 [[@Headword:h126]]"

and 

"[[126 >> Headword:h126]]"

Any ideas?

    Not sure if it changed, but I also can't get a numeric milestone to work.
