Surface Pro - no sound through external speakers - Problem Fixed

Glory to God.
I can listen to Logos Bible audio and other sound files for school on my Surface Pro through external speakers again.
https://www.logos.com/product/34146/esv-hear-the-word-audio-bible
(the new original Surface Pro I bought has a mysteriously non-working headphone jack)
The solution was a SoundBlaster item that plugs into a USB Port. Attach speaker, make them live in Control Panel, and voila sound again through my speakers.
Thank You Jesus.....
(and my stepson, who is usually inspired by The Holy Spirit, who thought of the solution).
p.s. Sorry everyone I do not know the part number....but it does come with a cap that once deattached stays nearby via a string atached to it - after you plug it in. I do not think it was very expensive either.

I am expecting a new surface pro replacement tomorrow. I decided for $500 the headphone jack should actually work.

This is a genuine question and please don't take it the wrong way. Would you still get the Surface Pro if you had to do it all over again? Just curious. All the best.

I think the Mississippian Master should weigh in. Maybe the Pro heats up in the North.

The replacement Surface that was sent to me is warm but the fan seems to work more often. Also, my headphone jack is back.
Pressing on....blessings everyone.

To whom are you referring, my friend? Mississippian Master? Certainly not me? I would always defer to your wisdom.
The heat problem must have been fixed in the Surface Pro 2 because I used my Surface Pro 2 for over 6 hours today working on a sermon, and never noticed that it heated up. But apparently it is a problem with that first generation Surface Pro. I do think it is not right that Microsoft sold the 1st generation Surface Pro with such a problem.
Of course, it could be that I am so used to Mississippi summers that everything is cool by comparison.
I am doing okay using the Surface Pro 2 as my only computer. Haven't found anything yet that is a problem. I am still learning this machine.

I live in Wisconsin and have had the Pro 1 since last February. I have not noticed the heat being an issue and this winter I have looked for ANY source of heat available [:D]

Run one Youtube video while Logos is up and leave a couple apps open.
You can warm your hands on it then.
Respectfully, I refuse to coddle people...this Surface Pro runs warm...sometimes downright hot....so hot I could not and would not put in a sleeve for a good 1/2 hour after I turn it off.
