Is it possible to change the default dictionary (Merriam-Webster) to a more theological/biblical dictionary similar to the desktop version?

hi Richard - and welcome to the forums

Which Bible are you using and in which testament?

You should get a "more theological" dictionary if you carry out a BWS against a reverse-interlinear tagged Bible

Graham, thanks for the reply. I do get a DBL greek dictionary when I do a BWS from the passage (RSVCE New and Old Testament Bible) which is nice. But if I go to the BWS and type in an english word, I get the M Webster dictionary. I was hoping to get the HC Bible dictionary. I tried removing the M Webster from the library but no luck. I realize the app isn't the desktop version.

    Hi Richard

    Thanks for the clarification.

It would be nice if the Android BWS respected Logos 5 prioritization so that your most highly preferred English dictionary in Logos 5 would be the one used on the Android app.

But there have been long-standing issues with prioritizations being taken into account and this looks like another one.

I tried removing the M Webster from the library but no luck

    That surprises me.

What do you mean by "removing"? If you have "hidden" it then it should no longer be accessible from the mobile app either?

    Graham,

I removed the MW dictionary from the library thinking another dictionary would surface. I then restarted the app and tried another BWS with a different word, and the MW dictionary resurfaced with a definition. Go figure.

    Strange

When I hid the MW dictionary in Logos 5 and restarted the Android app, no definition entry appeared in the Android BWS.

But, either way, there doesn't seem to be a mechanism to force the use of another English dictionary.
