How to use wildcards with Hebrew
Does anyone have any recommendations for how to search for Hebrew forms using wildcards? For example, if I want to find all of the middle waw forms in the Piel. I searched ?ו?@Vb and... I received all roots with a middle waw. I'm guessing the RtoL text might have something to do with it...
Am I missing something?

The correct syntax in Morph Search is lemma:?ו?@Vb. Does that give what you want?

Using the search "lemma:?ו?@vp" I get 612 results in 587 verses. Most of these are צוה. If instead I use "lemma:?ו?@vp ANDNOT lemma:צוה", I get 127 results in 120 verses.

I spoke too soon. The search works alright, Logos does not like it. It's crashed about a dozen times when I try to sort through the results. Ugh!
Hmm... do I reinstall Logos and reindex another time tonight?

Please explain: How does it work alright if Logos crashes? System specs? How much RAM? The search takes some time.

Let's see some logs as per http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging. (enable logging as we need the detailed Logos.log as well as crash/error logs).

OSX 1.7Ghz; 4GB Ram; running Logos 5.2 SR-6
The search yields the results most of the time; so I'd say that's alright. However, if I try to look at the results, e.g., sort the results by lemma or even scroll down sometimes, Logos crashes (=not so great). The search seemed to work a little better after reinstalling Logos, but I still cannot
The next search I used led to most of the crashes: "lemma:?ו?@vp ANDNOT lemma:??ה@vp". That is, third heh roots.
Is this just me and/or my machine?

Ignore the reply received and use the order you indicated. The search does not seem to behave as anticipated.

Tried your search—as corrected to find Piel stems—with and without the ANDNOT qualifier without any problem in 5.2a Beta 4 Mac. Used both verse and analysis views and could scroll through the results without any problem.
As Dave noted, logs are essential for the diagnosis of your problem.

Yes, sorting and scrolling in Analysis view. It's even crashed after entering the search.
I am using BHS 4.18, so I believe vp is correct (I want to be sure to distinguish Piels with Poels, Polels, etc.).
There should be 4 or 5 crashes in this report...

I stand corrected. Tested your setup with Lexham Hebrew Bible (LHB) with which Piel is b.
Went back and tried your search with BHS 4.18. Scrolling in Analysis view produced a crash. Since the same search in LHB did not cause a crash, the problem seems associate with BHS 4.18.
