Install L4 Alpha 8

Hello,

i wanted to install Logos 4 Alpha 8 on my Mac. First i had great troubles with crashes all over the time. After a time i could throw the cd out. Now Logos 4 is running, but there is no access to the Homepage and no access to the library.The Cd is now in the drive of the computer and i`m happy that there is no crash.

I think i have to wait for the indexing of my library, but i don`t know where to start it.Can you help?

Could you please check and see if you have a file in ~/Library/LaunchAgents named com.logos.LogosIndexer.plist

If you do, try deleting the file and restarting the app and see if that helps.

If that does not work, try running the Logos Indexer manually with the following command from within Terminal:

/Applications/Logos\ Bible\ Software\ 4.app/Contents/MacOS/Logos4Indexer.app/Contents/MacOS/Logos4Indexer

You will see some output on your console while the indexer is running. Note that if you close the Terminal, the indexer will stop.

Hi Danny, welcome to Alpha testing. If I understand your post correctly, you should be aware that the homepage is blank in A8 except for the blue ribbon where you can select a default Bible translation. Can you see the blue ribbon? If you can, the install went fine and now you can index following Tom's instructions.
