reinstall failure on new computer

I installed Logos 4 on my older computer with no problems. Just got my new one and it won't intall. I've tried it online twice, and with the install CD once. It says the same thing everytime.
Can you help?
It says, "an error occurred during the installation of assembly
Microsoft.VC90.CRT, version = "9.0.30729.1",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86",type="win32"'
Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT:0x80070005.
(I don't know how you do a screenshot.)
Thanks!

Hi Sharon,
I googled various parts of your error codes to see if there were any helpful leads. I didn't see any responses that looked particularly helpful, but there were a couple of thoughts...
Try running Windows Update to ensure all the latest important AND OPTIONAL updates are installed on your new computer. You'd be surprised how often the "optional" updates aren't. And as I scanned the googled info, it looked like there was an incomplete (or lower-than-needed version number) installation of something in the operating system (like .net or somesuch).
After doing that, try installation again.
If that doesn't work, call Logos tech support, if that's an option for you.
Sorry this isn't much help, but I didn't want you to think no one had cared enough to respond... so I answered with the little that I had.
Blessings!
Grace & Peace,
Bill

Thank you both for responding. I'm sorry it took me awhile to get back. Shortly after I started the thread my hard drive crashed completely (My new 250 GB SSD). I've been without internet since.
But right before it crashed I did call tech help at Logos. (Because another message had come up "C++"). They sent me to level 2, but she was not able to help. It seems my C++ is a litle bit different than what they have seen before. She was going to talk to a developer today and hopefully have an answer soon.
Thank you so much for your help. And BTW - it is very clear that the people on this forum really do care and try to help! I appreciate it, as well as untold others.

Hi Sharon,
To me, this is starting to sound like all your problems with Logos were in reality related to the beginning of your hard drive failure. After you sort that out & are 100% again with your laptop, let us know if you have any further trouble with the installation of L4.
Dave is one of the real installation pros, & I'm sure you'll get the help you need.
Blessings!
