How to update to version 4.6c SR-6

Greetings all,

I recently had to do a complete system restore and now my Logos 4 is not working properly. I used it for a few days, but now every time I try to open the software I get a message that says, "An Upgrade is Required". Some of your resources and documents are not compatible with this version. To continue using Logos Bible Software, upgrade to version 4.6c SR-6 or later.

I have no idea how to do this.

Please help.

You can install the latest Logos 4 version (4.6c SR-6) from https://www.logos.com/support/logos4/install (select the Windows option from this page)

Are you aware that - assuming you are running Windows Vista or higher - you can upgrade to the core Logos 5 engine for free? The latest version is available at https://www.logos.com/installation

Thank you Graham. I am in the process of trying what you suggested. I am a missionary in South Africa, so my internet is quite slow.

What is the core Logos 5 engine?

Logos 5 is the update to Logos 4.

It was released towards the end of 2012 and contains a lot of new functionality. It is also the release that Logos are focusing on and developing with 4.6 no longer being officially supported after 8 April this year (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/80475.aspx)

The 5.0 release notes - http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_5.0 - show the new features in the original upgrade and they have been added to with new releases.

To get some of the added-value features you need to purchase new packages or upgrade options - see http://wiki.logos.com/Upgrade_or_Crossgrade for a summary - but the core engine is free.
