Tagging text within a resource

One of the great features about note organization programs I have come to love is tagging. Evernote allows you to tag a note, while OneNote allows you to tag a paragraph within a note. I would like to tag my resources in Logos, but I don't believe there is a way to do this, unless I'm forgetting some obvious feature. I believe I have a work-around solution, but wanted to get feedback before I invest any time in this in case someone has a better idea.
I know you can tag resources in Logos. However, I want to tag individual sentences. For example...
For illustrative purposes only, I highlighted the first sentence in the book on the right. I then added a comment in the highlight note: #Redemptive-historical. However, I ran into two problems. First, the note did not come up in my search for "#Redemptive-historical." I don't know if this is because the note has not been indexed yet or if I am doing something wrong. Second, the search seemed to ignore the #. When I searched for the tag phrase with a # I got results of the words occurring without the #. I though when something was included in quotes the search engine looked for exactly what was in the quotes.
Does anyone have any ideas or feedback?

i am guessing that you want to identify text and be able to search for that text in a resource, right? When using the Search (Basic search) your text in notes is found in MyContent.
Logos' highlighting will not accomplish this.
But you could use Notes. You would need to:
- First decide on which Note File where you want your note to be placed into.
- Next select the text in the resource that you want highlighted (if you would like to see the text highlighted).
- Use the Right-Click on the selected text, and on the right tick Selection and then click on the Note file that you want your note added to. (it would be helpful if you had the Note File open, this ensures that your selection of Note File appears in the Right-Click menu).
- When the focus is taken to the new note in the Note File, you will need to enter the text that you want to search for later.
As you can see, Logos doesn't work like One-Note
But this method of using notes in Logos can accomplish what you are trying to do (if i understand what you are trying to do).
EDIT: This is outlined in the wiki Notes (4.5 and up)

I think your search is case sensitive. Check the Search menu (under the magnifying glass icon) and uncheck "Match case".

Resource indexing and Search ignore non-alphanumeric characters** so a search for "#redemptive-historical" is treated as "redemptive historical" i.e. two words that will match "redemptive historical" or "redemptive, historical" or "redemptive-historical" in the resource.
.
** the exception to this are single words like God's. If you search for God's when "Match all word forms" is unchecked you will get case-insensitive matches or exact matches depending on your setting for "Match case". So you can easily search for lower case god's.
