Roger,
I found this interesting line in your log files:
12/29/09 5:24:44 AM SubmitDiagInfo[236] Submitted hang report: /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports/Logos Bible Software 4_2009-12-29-052428_roger-feenstras-macbook.hang
Can you please attach the diagnostic report mentioned above to this thread so that we can have a look?

I think the log file I'm looking for is in Console under "User Diagnostic Reports". It should have a bunch of "Logos Bible Software" references in it.
I see that log file, but when I try to attach it, I get the message "File Type Not Valid"
Try compressing the file first in Finder. (Right click then "Reveal in Finder"). Then right click in Finder, Compress, then attach the .zip file.
Apparently our forums are picky about the file types we accept (as we should be).

Try this.
Tom
I have Mac OS 10.5.8 & Console 10.5.6. My log list is very different from yours. What versions do you have?
Jack,
I'm on Snow Leopard (10.6.2). I've got Leopard (10.5.8) on another hard drive so we can test on both systems, but I guess I stick with 10.6 unless I have to go back.
It appears that your indexer is crashing and not completely indexing, which would explain why search is not working. We have some more logging in the upcoming alpha which will help us track this issue down. The alpha should be out tomorrow (or the next day at the latest).
Right now, we don't have a very good way of determining which resource might be the problem, short of trying one by one.
Tom,
Sounds good. Thanks for taking a look at it.
While I have your attention, can I ask a cross-platform question? I have attempted to enable logging on XP Pro running under Parallels 5. When I run the script, I receive the message that logging has been enabled, but the log file is not anywhere in the VM. When I do the same thing on a similar setup using Fusion 2.0.6, everything works as expected. Do you have any ideas about this?
I know I just hijacked Roger's thread, but he looks like a nice fellow, so he probably won't hit me. Besides, he does not know where I live. [8-|]
I know I just hijacked Roger's thread,
Mi thread, es su thread.
Roger
I run Fusion 2.0.6 with XP Home on my personal MacBook in addition to L4 Mac. I know the logging changed in a recent Windows version so that Logs on XP are now written to My Documents\Logos Log Files instead of Libronix Log Files. I have no experience with Parallels so I can't speak to that. Maybe Cameron will have some thoughts.
Thanks. It's no big deal. Biblical Places was having random crashes under Parallels, but I could not find the log. I could find the log under Fusion but could not cause the crash. If I get a repeatable hard crash, I can always revert to Fusion.
